Liberating Structures Immersion
Learn by Doing. Facilitate for Impact.
program overview
Liberating Structures (LS) are simple, powerful methods that radically shift how groups collaborate, think, and create together.
We offer two immersion programs that are designed for leaders, facilitators, educators, and changemakers who want to elevate their practice through experience—not theory. There is a 2-day, face to face immersion program or a virtual program that consists of 4 x 3.5 hour sessions on Zoom during a one-month period.
Across both version of the program, you’ll learn and apply a range of Liberating Structures in real time. You’ll leave with a practical, adaptable toolkit you can use immediately to design more engaging meetings, workshops, learning environments, planning sessions, and change processes.
Both version of the immersion program deliver world-class facilitation training grounded in participatory methods and purposeful collaboration.
content
Over the course of the high-energy immersion, you’ll experience:
The Liberating Structures in Action
From classic structures like 1-2-4-All, TRIZ and Open Space to creative, cutting-edge methods, you’ll learn how to unleash participation, creativity and co-creation in any group.
Immersive Facilitation Practice
This is not a lecture. Every moment of the program is shaped using Liberating Structures—so you learn by doing, experiencing, and reflecting.
Behind-the-Scenes Methodology
Go deeper into the principles that make Liberating Structures work:
microstructures
constraints that liberate
distributed control
psychological safety
co-creation and shared ownership
Real-World Application
Work with peers and facilitators to adapt LS to your own context—whether you work in government, education, corporate, grassroots, or creative environments.

approach
Our approach is immersive, experiential, and grounded in practice.
We Learn by Doing
You won’t hear slides about Liberating Structures.
You’ll experience them—constantly.
We Make the Invisible Visible
Between rounds, we pause and unpack the microstructures:
What worked? Why? How did the structure shift the group dynamic?
You’ll gain insight into the mechanics behind the methods.
We Reflect Together
Every session includes time to digest, reflect, and map out how the structures apply to your real work.
We Focus on Real Contexts
You will adapt Liberating Structures to your own scenarios—strategic planning, team development, learning design, stakeholder engagement, organisational change, community work, and more.
We Build Capability, Not Dependency
You leave with tools, confidence, and a clear path to apply LS in your world—without needing a facilitator in the room.
